Mt. Washington is one of Cincinnati’s best kept secrets. Here’s why…
Mt. Washington is livable and a perfect place to raise your family or age in place. We are home to three elementary schools, Sands Montessori, Mt. Washington School, and Guardian Angels, as well as McNicholas High School. Our walkable business district has everything you need for daily essentials–Kroger, post office, public library, several banks, and several tasty local restaurants. Metro provides bus service to Mt. Washington on routes 24, 30X, and 81X. And it’s only 12 minutes to downtown, 9 minutes to I-71, and 5 minutes to I-275 in a car!
Mt. Washington is green. We are proud to be a community surrounded by hundreds of acres of scenic public parks. Situated atop a hill near the confluence of the Little Miami and Ohio Rivers, Mt. Washington is home to Stanbery Park, Mt. Washington Cemetery/Arboretum, and is within a five-minute drive from California Woods Nature Preserve, Magrish Preserve, Lunken Airport Playfield, Otto Amleder Memorial Park, and Beech Acres. There’s miles of hiking and biking trails to explore in these green spaces, as well as, on the nearby Little Miami Scenic Trail and Ohio River Trail.
Mt. Washington is active. If you’re more of a gym person, visit our neighborhood’s recreation center on Beacon Street, complete with an outdoor pool and tennis courts. Or follow the goVibrant walking route signs to get acquainted with our beautiful neighborhood!
